You can serve on the Executive Board
We meet regularly to plan events and discuss topics to support Guild members. Elections are held every other year in the fall. Term of office is two years.
- The First Chairperson is responsible for managing executive and special meetings, overseeing and supporting Executive Officers, approving nominal expenditures and other duties as may from time to time be prescribed by the Executive Board.
- The Secretary is responsible for maintaining current meeting and membership records, drafting ballots and surveys, and other duties as may from time to time be prescribed by the Executive Board.
- The Treasurer tracks and records all Guild financial transactions; files annually with the IRS and Minnesota Revenue; is named on the Guild’s bank account and where required for legal contact; and has other duties as may from time to time be prescribed by the Executive Board.
- The Communications Officer communicates pertinent information to the Guild membership, monitors and follows up with public and member correspondence, serves as a liaison to the membership and has other duties as may from time to time be prescribed by the Executive Board.
- The Event Officer serves as the coordinator for most Guild events and have other duties as may from time to time be prescribed by the Executive Board.
- The Website Officer maintains the Guild website, assist members with website-related questions, assist the Secretary with membership tracking and have other duties as may from time to time be prescribed by the Executive Board.
- The Social Media Officer maintains the Guild website blog and social media accounts to engage with the community and promote the Guild and Guild events, plus other duties as may from time to time be prescribed by the executive board.
- Second Chairperson (appointed as needed) assumes the duties of the First Chairperson in his/her/their absence at meetings and in the event the position becomes vacant, plus other duties as may from time to time be prescribed by the Executive Board.
